As the founder and Producing Artistic Director of CounterPoint Entertainment Studios, Tracie Jones has a true passion for mentoring and shaping student dreams. Tracie has over 35 years of music and performing arts training, experience and educating. She has been an accompanist, director, musical director and vocal coach for various theatres, recordings, schools and organizations, and she is an accomplished pianist, vocalist and instrumentalist. Tracie is practiced in classical, Broadway, country, jazz, rock, and pop styles, music theory, ear training and much more.

She previously served as the Director of Education and an instructor for Actor’s Youth Theatre (AYT) for 6 years and was the Executive Artistic Director for 3 years. During that time, she produced, directed and/or music directed approximately 45 full-length productions with well over 40 additional camps, showcases, events and other productions. Tracie lives to create opportunities for students to grow and build viable careers in the performing arts industry, and her teaching philosophy is both flexible and motivating.

With students of all ages, Tracie adapts each lesson and performance experience to meet the abilities, interests and proficiency of the individual while also encouraging every student to reach beyond what they thought possible. Watching her students create and fulfill their own dreams is what gives her heart the most joy.
